(WLUK) — A De Pere woman is in custody after a police chase that spanned three Northeast Wisconsin counties.

At approximately 1:45 p.m. Thursday, the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office was notified about a series of pursuits involving a driver who was believed to be in Dodge County.

The first chase began in Winnebago County and was initiated by a Wisconsin State Patrol trooper. That was followed by an active pursuit by the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office, just north of the Dodge County line, but deputies lost sight of the vehicle and were forced to terminate the chase.

The suspect vehicle was later reported to be in the Juneau area, then reported to be headed toward Beaver Dam on County W. A Beaver Dam police officer initiated a pursuit in the city of Beaver Dam, but the car fled south out of Juneau on County G. The Beaver Dam officer lost sight of the car and the chase was terminated.

During that pursuit, a member of the sheriff’s office attempted to lay down stop sticks, but the driver evaded them in a reckless manner, nearly striking the Dodge County Sheriff detective.

After deploying numerous squad cars around the area, the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office tracked the suspect car to the Reeseville area. A resident called law enforcement to report the wanted vehicle was in the trailer court in Reeseville.

Shortly thereafter, another resident in the area reported seeing the suspects run out of a field and get into a second vehicle. Deputies successfully stopped that vehicle and arrested the occupants.
